  1. Great discussion. I kind of see both sides of this one. One thing I would say is I gained a pretty big appreciation for Mean Streets by watching Who's That Knocking On My Door first then moving onto this. The rawness of Mean Streets dissipated greatly by the filmmaking progression that is made in just two movies. I wouldn't call it a great movie but it certainly a movie that is hugely important in the career Scorsese. It just lacks the finesse you get with something like Taxi Driver.

    Also glad to hear the Cheap Thrills debate, and that I wasn't the only one that wasn't going question JD on his Cheap Thrills Hate.
